Special Requests

The Special Request program is a project that provides larger items that are not generally stocked in the Rainbow Room. These requests include a wide range of items such as twin beds, cribs, car seats, medications, or special items needed for school.

Caseworkers simply submit their request to Partnerships for Children for these various items. Through this project, PC can provide for the “emergencies”, such as a helmet that is critical to the development of a child that was shaken as a baby. As well as items that might not be considered an “emergency”, but can make the difference in a child’s life, like a team uniform and shoes for a teenager that wants to participate on his school basketball team.
