Back to School

Each year, Partnerships for Children provides over 1,000 backpacks filled with supplies to children in Central Texas who are in the care of Child Protective Services. This year is more important than ever to ensure we are able to send children back to school prepared to learn and feel a sense of dignity when they walk into their classrooms the first day of school. It is our goal to ensure every child in CPS care has the supplies they need to be successful when they return to school.

It's Summer time and the means the PFC preparations for back-to-school it in full swing. The high cost of school supplies poses a challenge to many parents and impacts students during back-to-school season and beyond!

Each year, Partnerships for Children provides supplies to over 1,000 children in the care of CPS in Central Texas. Having supplies for the first day of school is crucial to the success of these children. We believe every child should be able to attend the first day of school ready to learn without the worry of not having the supplies they need.

Host A Drive

Get your friends, co-workers, and family involved by hosting a drive. Collect new school supplies within your community. Once ready to drop off, please email Peyton Mooney at peyton@partnershipsforchildren.org to schedule. We ask that all items be donated by July 19th!

Items of Greatest Need:

Clothing & Shoe Gift Cards: The first day of school outfit! Every student wants a fresh start to the new school year. In addition to school supplies, we give students gift cards to choose new clothes and shoes that suit them - so every child can feel their best going back to school. Shop them on our Amazon Wishlist, or make a donation!

Graphing Calculators: Required for math classes, high schoolers have graphing calculators on their supply lists. These are high ticket items! Send us one through our Amazon Wishlist or make a donation and we’ll buy them for students.

Monetary Funds for Requested Items: Not every back-to-school item is on a school supply list! Kids participating in sports need equipment, high schoolers driving themselves to school need parking permits, and many more individual situations come up before the school year. Monetary donations give us the flexibility to meet those requests!
