Partnerships for Children has a variety of programs to support children and families connected with Child Protective Services. There are many ways for you to make a difference in the lives of the children, youth, and family in our community.

Rainbow Room

The Rainbow Room is our 24/7 supply center located within the CPS offices. Caseworkers can come here to get whatever they need to support the children in their care, whether it’s formula, a bed, a coat, or a backpack. You can make sure these supplies are in stock when a child urgently needs one.

Holiday Wishes

Holiday Wishes is a program that helps create positive, magical memories of the holidays for children in the care of CPS. When you fulfill one or more of the three wishes they give us, you can make their holidays a little brighter.

Get Involved

While I have a lot of experience volunteering, there is nothing compared to mentoring through the YES program. Any time I spend with the youth in YES, I feel like I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be, and even though I'm the one that is supposed to be mentoring them, it's amazing how often I realize that I'm actually learning more about life from them.

Learn How

YES Mentoring

Our Youth Empowerment and Success (YES) Mentoring program matches young adults with people like you who can be a positive influence and a supportive presence in their life. As a YES Mentor, you’ll assist one of the teens through a series of monthly classes that will teach them how to set and achieve personal and financial goals that will help prepare them to navigate life beyond foster care.

Through this program, your influence and involvement as a mentor can lead them toward becoming a more productive and financially responsible adult

KING Mentoring

The Kids in a New Groove (KING) mentoring through music program provides Central Texas youth who have had experience with the child welfare system with a committed one-on-one mentoring relationship through free weekly, private music lessons, giving students the ability to transform their lives through connection and support.

Kids in a New Groove combines the proven effects mentorship can have on youth, with the evidence that learning music at a young age improves reading, language, and problem-solving skills to produce notable improvements in students' grades, behaviors, and attitude.
